HOW IS JIMMY MIRIKITANI?
Jimmy Mirikitani celebrated his 91st birthday in June 2011. He is feeling good and making art. He still lives in New York, and looks forward to attending the next pilgrimage to Tule Lake in July 2012. (To attend a pilgrimage, see www.tulelake.org)

WHERE CAN I SEE JIMMY MIRIKITANI’S ART? Jimmy Mirikitani had his first one-man exhibition at Seattle's Wing Luke Asian Museum in 2006. This exhibit then travelled to Bainbridge Island, NYU's A/PA/ Institute, Portland's Nikkei Legacy Center, and the East Meadow Public Library. His work was exhibited in 2010 at the Smithsonian's Renwick Gallery as part of The Art of Gaman: Arts and Crafts from the Japanese American Internment Camps 1942 - 1946.
